Curriculum Vitae

1.Was born in Athens in 1969.

2.Graduated from the 8th High School of Athens with a degree of 18.4 and passed at the Medical School of the Military School of Officers in September 1988.

3.He graduated the Medical School of the A.U.Th. with the grade “very good” in 1994.

4.He was given the title of Second Lieutenant Doctor of Sanitary Department in March 1995.z

5.He followed the classes of the Sanitation Application School, from March 1995 to March 1996, graduating with the grade 18,62.

6.During his studies, he served as an assistant in various clinics of the 401 GMHA and followed the classes of the School of Special Armed Forces – Radio-Bio-Chemical War Department.

7.He served as Commander of Sanitary Company at the 21st AIFV (Komotini), responsible for Public Health issues of the 4th Office Staff of the 21st AIFV and as responsible for the medical practice of the Komotini Medicine Camp, from March 1996 to March 1998, having scientific, commanding and staff duties.

8.He was selected to be trained in Plastic Surgery after successful exams held by the Sanitary Administration of Army General Staff in March 1997.

9.He practiced for 2 years in the General Surgery, at the 2nd Surgery Clinic of the 401 GMHA from March 1998 to March 2000.

10.He practiced for 4 years in the specialty of Plastic Surgery from April 2000 to April 2004, at the Plastic and Reconstructive Department of the Anti-Cancer and Oncological Hospital “Agios Savvas”.

11.He was certified as a Plastic Surgeon after examinations in June 2004.

12.He served as Deputy in the Plastic and Reconstructive Clinic of the 401 GMHA from June to October 2004.

13.He served as Director of the Surgical Department of the STEP/95 from November 2004 to November 2005.

14.He served as Deputy in the Plastic and Reconstructive Clinic of the 417 NIMTS from November 2005 to March 2008 and as Director from March 2008 until today.

15.A member of the Greek Company of Plastic reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery, the Greek Microsurgery Company, the Greek Hand Surgery Company, as well as their European associated companies.

Christos M. Asimomitis is among the most renowned Greek scientists in the Plastic Surgery sector, with thousands of successful operations as well as a rich presence in the field of education, especially in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery.

His career path in Medicine begins in September 1988, when he enters the Military School of Combat Support Officers. By November 1994, he is a graduate of the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and on March 1995 he is a Second Lieutenant Medical Officer. Two years later, he chooses to be trained in the speciality of Plastic Surgery and in June 2004, after many years of practice, he receives the title of Plastic Surgeon.

The milestones of his course up to now are the 401GSN, the Military Hospital of Rhodes and the 417Nimts, where he served either as a Curator and Deputy Director in the clinic of Plastic and Reconstructive, or as a Director of the Surgical Department.

His scientific/educational activities includes numerous seminars, participations in national and pan-Hellenic conferences, as well as many publication in Greek and foreign scientific magazines.
